About

The title of this blog came to my roommates and me a little too late after our bedtime.  They didn’t like my original thoughts of ‘nofishtoday’, ‘gallimaufry’ and they especially didn’t like ‘marlena’. So, this is what it is, and just like a refrigerator, I hope to provide a little bit of everything for whatever your tastebuds desire.

The concentration has shifted to buildings, mostly historic, that look meaningful to either people or places.  Hopefully this blog will encompass all that buildings are – interiors, exteriors, the contents of each and the people that litter them with love.  You might even catch the occasional wedding (I know it’s completely unrelated).

If you have any pictures of any buildings that you think are significant and I don’t have it up here, please send them to me and I will do my best to post it!

Thank you for looking!

Hi – I stumbled across your site and am really intrigued by abandoned buildings in New England (I’m a CT native). I’d like to hear more about the current status of buildings at Echo Farm, e.g. in the whimsical looking farm building still standing? If you have a chance to email, I’m at susanne at aya dot yale dot edu. Thanks!
