This sitting room is in The Montvale Hotel, in Spokane. This very room made me believe in boutique hotels. The idea of having a little bit nicer art on the walls and oriental rugs scatters in a sitting room with the living quarters branching off of it just seems to feel comfortable. It’s elegantly furnished but not intimidating as there are books and chess tables scattered about. To get to this room, you walk up a flight of stairs, passing through a tiny lobby with high ceilings, and another flight to get to the “deck”. The red accent wall adds a fun, trendy twist to the space.
