The Pannikin, in Encinitas. A quirky little coffee and tea shop that started in 1968. This is also along the now defunct Santa Fe Railroad line. This has the same layout as the Carlsbad welcome center, however it’s been converted into a coffee shop. The possibilities of restoring buildings are endless! The Pannikin definitely wouldn’t have it’s quirky charm if it wasn’t for the turn of the century appeal of the historic building.
