Octagonal Barns

The nostalgia of America very much lies the the heart of the country.  Octagonal barns became popular in the 1850s in the great plains where the shape allowed the winds to roll around the structure better than a tobacco barn, for example.  This barn is in San Lois Obispo, CA.  Barns are now popular for well, being a barn at a functioning farm;  they are also popular for converting into houses, along with wedding venues.
